It’s been so long since I last used them, and I was delighted to re-learn how much fun watercolours are to work with, and what lovely effects you can achieve so easily.

As you can see, I have very little talent (I’m no artist), but I should be able to salvage at least five or six of my little pieces for use as cute digiscrapping elements.

Also painted some more little trees with flowers, which has taken me in another doodley direction entirely, painting Christmas trees and decorations.

I’ll have to try and remember to share the results with you. Remind me?

Since Kathy published my doodles as digiscrap freebies on her blog, I’ve taken a look at what else I’ve done that she could use, and come up with quite a few things.

In particular, I’ve been experimenting with watercolours this year and been having a lot of fun.

Just simple little bits and bobs, but I’m pretty pleased with how they’ve come out.

Kathy’s more into the digital side of things, and said she’d love to use more of my designs for her site.

So from now on my “artworks” will be featuring regularly on her site as digital scrapbooking freebies, with some little watercolour hearts coming next Sunday.

Exciting, huh?!

I’ve never been part of a collaborative effort, and I’m really looking forward to being a part of this.

Who knows where it might lead to?

This craft didn’t exactly work out the way I had planned, as our old spray bottle didn’t spray very evenly. Mr Bump had a ball though, because I don’t usually let him loose with the thing!

We collected some waterproof household objects and laid them out on some paper. I mixed some acrylic paint & water in the bottle and he went to work spraypainting.

If you do this, make sure you leave it flat to dry, with the objects still on the paper holding it down.

Other thoughts:

Try allowing one colour to dry and then re-spraying in another colour.

This is a good outdoors craft, unless you like paint on the floor, walls and furniture!
